Kent Huffman is a results-oriented marketing executive, change agent, customer experience advocate, and published author. He has built a reputation as a corporate marketing turnaround specialist, having achieved significant, measurable results in three turnaround situations during the past 11 years.

Serving as Chief Marketing Officer at BearCom Wireless since 2006, Kent is responsible for expanding the company's presence in its target markets, as well as driving all marketing strategies and tactics, including thought leadership, integrated marketing, and demand generation. During his first year at BearCom, Kent created Today's Wireless World magazine, which won the International Award of Excellence from the Society for Technical Communication in 2010. Prior to joining BearCom, Kent held the position of Vice President of Marketing at CompuCom Systems, a $2 billion computer hardware and software reseller, where he managed the entire corporate marketing function, including partner, media, and industry analyst relations. While at CompuCom, Kent was selected to receive the President's Club Award, which recognizes the company's top performers.

Before CompuCom, Kent led the global marketing communications team at Perot Systems (now Dell Services), a Fortune 1000 IT services company, where he received a number of regional, national, and international awards for the quality and performance of the company's various integrated marketing initiatives, including results driven by the Perot Systems website and annual reports. Previously, Kent founded and managed his own boutique marketing consulting firm, Marketek Media, which focused on helping technology companies increase revenue and market share by applying innovative Internet marketing strategies. Earlier in his career, Kent held various marketing leadership positions at AT&T Capital (a large division of AT&T), Hensley Industries, and Penton Media.

Kent has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Texas State University and is accredited as a Certified Business Communicator (CBC) by the Business Marketing Association.

In addition to his "day job" at BearCom, Kent is active in the marketing profession in a variety of other ways. In 2012, he authored the book 8 Mandates for Social Media Marketing Success for C-Suite Press, and in 2008, he co-authored the book Maximizing Your Marketing Efforts for Thomson Reuters/Aspatore Books. He also is Co-Publisher of Social Media Marketing Magazine, a new digital publication written by the leading CMOs, marketing book authors, and marketing professors around the world who are active on social media.

Kent has been featured or quoted in several printed publications—including Forbes, Entrepreneur, Marketing News, BtoB, and Texas Technology—and numerous websites—such as CMO.com, MarketingProfs.com, MarketingPilgrim.com, Business.com, Computerworld.com, SocialMediaToday.com, and BlogTalkRadio.com. He also has written numerous blog posts for SMMmagazine.com, B2Bbloggers.com, TheSocialCMO.com, Social2B.com, and Vistage.com.

For the past four years, Kent has been a member of the CMO Council and The Social CMO. In addition, he is one of the 10 most-followed CMOs on Twitter worldwide.

When Kent isn't working, he enjoys visiting remote islands in the Caribbean with his wife and spending time with his family and friends, boating and fishing on Lake Holbrook in beautiful East Texas. He also is a volunteer for Wounded Warrior Project.
